We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working on various projects, including renovations and installations, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
The Journeyperson
Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. He will also be responsible in managing and handling task for the Electricians work load distribution.
Skills and Qualification
- Class 5 license
- Clean driver’s abstract
- No Criminal Records
- Must have his own basic tools and safety gear
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to ensure all work is met in the Canadian Electrical Code and standard
- Ability to renovate electrical systems efficiently and on a very tight deadline
- Familiarity with commercial and residential electrical practices
- Knowledge of building logic controllers and low-voltage systems
- Commitment to personal and Team Safety
- Willing to travel and work Out of Town.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts
- Constructs and fabricates control panels/systems and installs interlocking wiring and performs wiring checkout.
- Install, maintain,
and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Tests, troubleshoots, and repair s electrical components, transformer and circuit breakers for safety and integrity.
- Tests installed, repaired and/or modified equipment for proper performance and assists in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and testing equipment
- Install and terminate conduit wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete projects efficiently
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers or HVAC technicians on renovation projects to ensure project completion.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively regarding the project status.
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards
- Maintains a clean and safe workspace
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
