We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate ABA therapists to join our team. ABA therapists will be responsible for utilizing principles of ABA to conduct one-on-one or group therapy sessions with children with autism (or other learning and/or developmental disabilities) by following program plans created by our ABA program director and clinical supervisor. Ideal candidates will also have expertise in high school level courses (e.g.

Functions, Advanced Functions, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English, French, etc.) to help students with autism who are enrolled in Academic Help Programs.

The position will be part-time to start and hours will correspond to the number of clients matched to the therapist. Successful candidates must be able to commute to our centre located in Scarborough.

Responsibilities

● Effectively implement ABA interventions and techniques according to programs and strategies created by the program director and/or clinical supervisor to provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients.

● Assist in conducting assessments to determine the needs and goals of each individual client as instructed by our team of supervising staff.

● Collaborate with team members, including parents, teachers, and other therapists, to ensure consistent and effective therapy is provided across settings

● Collect and analyze data to track the progress of each client

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of clients' progress for their programs at the centre

● Guide students through school curriculum, homework,



and assignments when they are enrolled in the academic help program

● Stay current on best practices and developments in the field of ABA through ongoing professional development and training

● Provide support and guidance to clients and their families as they work to achieve their goals

Requirements

● Certification in ABA (e.g. RBT, Diploma in ABA)

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, education, or related field (preferred)

● Familiarity with ABLLS, VB-MAPP, and AFLS (preferred)

● Experience working with children with autism

● Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● First Aid/CPR Training

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

● Knowledge to tutor high school subjects (e.g. Math, English, Science)

● Experience providing academic help to students with special needs

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
