We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Electrical Account Manager to join our team Downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, manufacturers, builders, and other key customers while identifying opportunities to grow sales and expand our customer base.

The Electrical Account Manager will play a key role in driving business development by understanding customer needs, providing technical and product support, identifying new opportunities, and delivering solutions that align with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of electrical products and applications, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

leveraging your technical knowledge and sales experience to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that support both customer and company objectives.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, manufacturers, builders, consultants, and other key customers.
- Prospect and identify new customers and business opportunities within the electrical market.
- Grow sales and market share by promoting electrical products, solutions, and services that meet customer requirements.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate technical, product, and application support.
- Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track opportunities, activities, and projected sales.
- Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits to understand project requirements, identify opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, product information, and sales presentations as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, manufacturers, suppliers, and technical specialists to develop solutions and respond effectively to customer requirements.
- Stay current with electrical products, technologies, applications, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Identify upcoming construction projects and opportunities and develop strategies to secure new business.
- Work closely with customers to understand project specifications, schedules, budgets, and purchasing requirements.
- Provide ongoing customer support throughout the sales process and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements while maintaining company objectives and profitability.
- Follow up on quotations, proposals, orders, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking opportunities to develop new business relationships.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are clearly communicated and successfully supported.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales information within the CRM system.
- Achieve established sales, revenue, and business development targets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, Outside Sales, or a related sales role.




- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the electrical, construction, building services, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical products, systems, applications, and industry practices.
- Experience working with electrical contractors, distributors, manufacturers, builders, consultants, or other construction industry stakeholders is an asset.
- Proven track record of developing new business and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into successful business relationships.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical and product solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, vendors, manufacturers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Strong understanding of customer buying behaviours and the ability to effectively engage and influence key decision-makers.
- Results-oriented individual with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify customer needs and develop practical solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer, project, and job-site locations as required.
- Committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, professional, and driven to achieve and exceed sales objectives.

This is a new role, and the targeted compensation range will be within the range of $100,000 to $125,000 depending on experience. We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
