About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Accounting Manager to lead their finance operations, operating under a fully remote model. This senior role involves overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance. You will play a key part in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and supporting strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage the audit process with external auditors, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently.




- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Mentor, train, and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
