Role Description The A&D; Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, focused on serving architects, interior designers, and related design professionals. Day-to-day tasks include visiting design firms and project sites, presenting product lines, and providing technical and aesthetic guidance on tile and surface selections. The role involves managing a sales territory, following up on leads, preparing quotes, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities.

The A&D; Sales Representative will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely samples, product information, and order fulfillment, while maintaining product displays and participating in local industry events and trade shows. This position requires proactive relationship-building, regular outreach to key accounts, and clear communication of Julian Tile’s value proposition to the design community.

Qualifications

- Experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within building materials, interiors, or related design industries.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to present products and solutions to architects, designers, and project stakeholders.




- Basic understanding of the construction and design process, including reading plans and specifications, or willingness to learn.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage a territory, schedule client visits, and follow up on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, email, and common office software to track opportunities and prepare professional proposals.
- Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, including frequent in-person visits to clients and occasional attendance at industry events.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel to client locations.
- Previous experience engaging with the A&D; community is an asset, as is knowledge of tile, flooring, or surface materials.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing inclusive, non-discriminatory service.
- Post-secondary education in business, design, marketing, or a related field is an asset, but equivalent experience will be considered.
