Goderich Electric Ltd. is seeking an applicant with electrical experience for a full time 309a Construction Maintenance Electrical Apprenticeship position to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to blueprints and schematics. This can include Residential, Commercial, Agricultural and Industrial locations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete wiring, conduit runs, and fixture installations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution.
- Support low voltage wiring projects, including alarm systems, communication lines, and control circuits.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical components to identify issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while learning best practices in construction maintenance.
Experience:
Applicant must
-Be a Canadian Citizen
-Have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
-Have a valid Drivers License
-Had some residential electrical experience and been involved in a previous trade agreement
-Be in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
-Reside in Huron County
-Have enthusiasm to learn and ask questions
Beneficial but not necessary:
-Current First Aid, AED & CPR Training
-Current WHIMIS 2015 Training
-Current MEWP & WAH Training
-Level 1 309a Electrical: Construction Maintenance schooling completed or greater.

Pay: $18.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 45.0 per week
