Assistant Manager - Wholesale.

Requirements:

- Education: Completion of secondary school is required; a university degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Commerce, or a field related to food products and wholesale distribution is strongly preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive wholesale sales, food distribution, or B2B merchandising experience
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated familiarity with wholesale perishable goods, dry food inventory control, cold-chain logistics, and food safety standards (such as HACCP or CFIA import compliance regulations).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in wholesale inventory management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sales volume tracking and calculations.
- Language & Communication: Robust professional English communication skills (written and verbal) required for commercial vendor management, client relations, and staff directives.

Job Duties:

- Plan, direct,



and evaluate the daily wholesale distribution and warehousing operations of food products to corporate clients, supermarket chains, and restaurant accounts.
- Manage warehouse and wholesale floor staff, assign daily picking/packing and dispatch duties, and address staffing requirements, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer demand to determine potential wholesale sales volumes.
- Determine merchandise and food product lines for wholesale distribution, maintain price structures, and assist in implementing client credit terms and return policies.
- Source and negotiate with domestic and international food manufacturers/vendors to procure wholesale merchandise, secure volume discounts, and manage supply agreements.
- Develop and execute wholesale marketing initiatives, promotions, and volume-rebate strategies for key business accounts.
- Plan operational budgets, authorize departmental expenditures, monitor wholesale revenue pipelines, and minimize inventory shrinkage.
- Evaluate and improve B2B customer service standards, resolve client order discrepancies, and manage large-scale vendor inquiries
