Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Prepper, where you'll play a vital role in preparing vehicles for repair and repainting processes. As an Auto Body Prepper, you'll ensure vehicles are properly prepped with precision and care, setting the stage for flawless repairs and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Your mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools will be essential in delivering top-quality results efficiently.

Duties

- Safely remove any loose parts, debris, or rust from vehicle surfaces using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal prep work.
- Sand, grind, and smooth vehicle surfaces to create a clean, even base for paint application.
- Use heavy lifting techniques to move vehicles or parts as needed, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify areas requiring additional prep or repair before painting begins.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored and equipment is in positive working order.




- Assist with minor mechanical tasks related to vehicle preparation when necessary, leveraging your automotive repair knowledge.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Experience

- Previous dealership experience or work in an automotive repair shop is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle prep tasks.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, including sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
- Mechanic experience or background in automotive bodywork is a valuable asset.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
