Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Autobody Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by repairing, sanding, and refinishing auto body surfaces. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle meets our high standards for quality and safety, providing our customers with reliable and visually appealing results.

Responsibilities

- Assess vehicle damage and develop a comprehensive repair plan to restore the vehicle’s appearance and structural integrity
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to remove dents, replace panels, and perform necessary repairs
- Perform automotive repairs including sanding, filling, priming, painting, and finishing surfaces to achieve a flawless look
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to verify repairs meet industry specifications and customer expectations
- Follow dealership or shop procedures for documenting work performed and parts used during repairs

Experience





- Dealership experience or previous work in an automotive body shop is highly preferred
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures and auto body systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of the repair process
- Experience with automotive repair techniques including dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, priming, and painting
- Mechanic experience or background in automotive repair enhances your ability to diagnose issues accurately

Compensation & Incentives:

- Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,000 in relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates relocating to Thompson, Manitoba
- Signing Bonus: Up to $5,000 signing bonus may be available to eligible candidates

Relocation assistance and signing bonus are subject to eligibility requirements, employment conditions, and applicable terms and conditions. Details will be discussed with successful candidates. Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
