Job Summary:

As a Cattinair Paint Line Operator at Cortina Kitchens, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and daily maintenance of our automated flatline spray system. You will play a critical role in applying flawless stains, paints, primers, and topcoats to custom kitchen cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and trim pieces, ensuring every component meets our strict luxury quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Cattinair Line Setup: Program and configure the automated Cattinair spray system, adjusting conveyor speeds, reciprocating spray gun heights, air atomization, and fluid pressures to match the specific profiles of our cabinet doors.

· Material Prep & Mixing: Mix and thin paints, stains, lacquers, sealers, and topcoats to the proper viscosity based on technical data sheets and job specifications.

· Quality Inspection: Visually inspect raw wood parts for proper sanding before they enter the line, and meticulously check finished cabinet components for defects like runs, orange peel, dust inclusions, or uneven sheen.

· Daily Maintenance: Perform critical preventative maintenance, including flushing lines during color changes, deep cleaning spray nozzles, and replacing booth and air filtration filters to prevent dust contamination on wet cabinet parts.

· Production Workflow: Coordinate with the sanding and assembly teams to maintain a steady flow of production, keeping detailed logs of batch runs and material usage.

· Safety & Compliance:



Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous finishing materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

· Experience: 2+ years of experience operating automated flatline spray equipment (Cattinair, Cefla, Superfici, or similar automated wood-finishing systems) in a cabinetry or millwork environment

· Cabinetry Knowledge: Deep understanding of how different wood species (maple, oak, MDF, etc.) absorb stains and paints.

· Technical Skill: Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical or software glitches on automated conveyor and spray systems.

· Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and load cabinet components weighing up to 50 lbs and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

· PPE Compliance: Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and comfortably wear a mask/respirator and steel-toed boots throughout the shift
