Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the service department team, including technicians and service advisors, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee all aspects of automotive repair processes, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Manage customer interactions from initial greeting through service completion, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat business.
- Promote upselling of additional services and repairs by effectively communicating benefits to customers while maintaining transparency.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed records of all financial activities related to service sales.
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and tools,
coordinate with vendors for timely procurement, and manage departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment that adheres to industry standards.
- Must be fluent using computers and technology for the CRM management
Experience
- Proven Repair garage experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on mechanic experience that provides mechanical knowledge essential for overseeing repairs and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated success in customer service roles within the automotive industry, with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in sales or upselling services to enhance revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial recordkeeping related to service transactions.
- Ability to lead a team effectively, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of automotive parts inventory management and dealership operations is highly desirable.
