Peel Exterior Maintenance is seeking reliable and experienced DZ Drivers to join our Winter Maintenance Team for the 2026–2027 season. Job Overview

As a DZ Salt Truck Driver, you will operate a salt truck to service commercial lots during snow and ice events. This role involves no road salting—all work is performed on private/commercial properties. Shifts are weather-dependent and often require early-morning starts, making this position ideal for dependable local applicants.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a DZ salt truck (8-speed or 10-speed) to apply salt on commercial lots.
- Perform and document daily circle checks and ensure vehicle readiness.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation.
- Follow assigned routes and complete salting services safely and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and team members before, during, and after each event.
- Safely load, transport,



and apply salt following company procedures and regulations.
- Assist with material pickups and deliveries within the GTA when required.

Required Skills & Abilities

- Valid DZ driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to operate 8-speed and 10-speed trucks is required.
- Lot salting experience is an asset (training available for the right candidate).
- Experience operating large trucks; winter driving experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of GTA roads and traffic patterns.
- Ability to work irregular, weather-dependent hours, including early mornings.
- Strong communication, time-management, and customer-service skills.
- Physically able to climb in/out of trucks and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
