Role Description The Beauty Freelancer is a part-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, focused on representing LYS Beauty in retail and event environments. This role involves providing personalized product recommendations, demonstrating application techniques, and educating customers on LYS Beauty’s ingredients, benefits, and brand values. Day-to-day tasks include engaging shoppers, driving product sales, maintaining an organized, visually appealing display, and supporting in-store promotions or brand events.

report on product performance, and collaborate with store teams to ensure consistent brand presentation and exceptional customer experiences. Scheduling may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store and event needs.

Qualifications

- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to engage customers, build rapport, and convert interest into purchases.
- Product knowledge and beauty expertise, with strong skills in makeup application, shade matching, and explaining skincare benefits.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Brand representation and merchandising skills, such as maintaining clean, attractive displays and adhering to visual guidelines.
- Time management and reliability, with the ability to manage part time schedules, arrive punctually, and work independently on-site.
- Passion for clean, cruelty-free, and inclusive beauty, with an understanding of vegan and plant-based formulations considered an asset.
- Previous experience in retail, cosmetics, or skincare is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks, such as setting up displays or handling product inventory.
