Summary

We are seeking a Behavioural Therapist to join our team in Edmonton. This role is vital in delivering tailored therapeutic interventions to our diverse clientele, helping them reach their full potential. The position is based in Canada.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for children and adults.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and data collection.
- Support clients in achieving behavioral goals through evidence-based techniques.
- Educate families about therapeutic processes and coping strategies.

- You need to be comfortable working with individuals with sensory and emotional regulation challenges that impact behavior.
- You need extensive experience working with supporting individuals and families with strategies to reduce behaviors that interfere with daily function. As well as support strategies for play, focus to task ect.
- Qualifications you must have direct experience as a behavioral therapist with children 2 to 16 years old.




- You need to be comfortable with sensory regulation stratagies along with behavioural
- You need to have direct experience working with individuals on the spectrum and with other diagnosis that can affect behaviours
- Knowledge of special education principles.
- Solid understanding of data collection methods.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification or licensure as a Behavioural Therapist or equivalent.

- This is a driving position, you go to the child's home as well as community areas.
- You need to be physical fit.
- Milage is not covered; however, you would go to the child's home or community place 1 hr home visit and also receive 0.5 to cover preparation-travel-documentation. If you do not want to drive or do not want a part time position which typically is on weekends and evenings, this position is not for you.
