Public Works Department The Cree First Nation of Waswanipi is presently seeking a resourceful and highly motivated individual for the position of Capital Asset Management (CAM) Project Coordinator – Maintenance under the Public Works Department.

The core function of this position is to act as the local coordinator for the modernization of the Capital Asset Management (CAM) project, which will provide modern management and IT tools for the operations and maintenance (O&M;) of municipal facilities and housing.

- Capital Asset Software for buildings and housing
- Preventive Maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for buildings and housing
- Building Mechanic Equipment Monitoring Systems

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities

The CAM Project Coordinator – Maintenance will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Coordinate the implementation of the Capital Asset Management modernization project with relevant staff and departments
- Collect, organize, and enter data into databases while maintaining accurate records of capital asset information
- Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct inconsistencies when required
- Research and obtain additional information for incomplete records and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records
- Respond to requests for information and access relevant project files




- Ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies and procedures
- Generate reports and maintain organized records of completed work
- Perform backup operations and maintain designated storage systems
- Participate in regional forums and exchanges related to the modernization of capital asset management initiatives
- Support preventive maintenance planning and asset management activities

Employment Requirements

Education and Experience
- Two (2) year college diploma
- One (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Training will be provided

Language Requirements

- Must be able to speak Cree and English
- French is considered an asset

Skills and Qualifications

- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting

Licensing Requirements

- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
- Additional licence classes are considered an asset

Employment Information

- Work Location: Waswanipi Garage Public Works
- Employment Status: Full-Time Permanent
- Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
- Salary Range: According to qualifications and salary scale
