Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey’s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials including wood, drywall, and other structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and durability.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Lead and support carpenter helpers and junior team members by providing guidance, delegating tasks, and promoting effective teamwork and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including proper handling and storage of materials.
- Identify and report any safety hazards, defects, or issues affecting project timelines or quality.
- Perform routine repairs, maintenance, and renovations as required.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).





Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
- Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and methods of installation and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
- Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical strength, stamina, and manual dexterity, with the ability to perform demanding tasks and lift heavy materials.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Leadership skills, with experience guiding or mentoring carpenter helpers or junior workers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Valid trade certification or apprenticeship completion (preferred or required, depending on role).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
- Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
