Cashier / Assistant Manager – Feed & Pet Store

$20–$30/hour based on experience | 30–40 hours/week

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated Cashier / Assistant Manager to join our team at our feed and pet store.

This position will start with a strong focus on cashier and customer service duties, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and grow into an Assistant Manager role over time.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in providing good service, and is interested in learning more about our products and becoming an significant part of our team.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
- Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Assist customers with pet, livestock, feed, and other store products
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Stock shelves and keep the store clean and organized
- Receive and put away inventory
- Assist with merchandising and general store operations
- Learn our products and help customers find the right solutions for their needs
- Take on additional responsibilities as experience and knowledge of the store grow
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Requirements
- Previous cash-handling experience is required
- Criminal record check required




- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
- Able to lift and move bags of feed and other store products

Experience That Is an Asset
- Previous experience in a pet, feed, farm, or agricultural retail store
- Sales experience
- Knowledge of pet, livestock, equine, or farm products
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with inventory, ordering, or merchandising

Hours & Compensation
- 30–40 hours per week, with the exact schedule to be determined
- $20–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and grow into an Assistant Manager position
