Location: In-person, with occasional community outreach

Position Overview The Don Mills Family Health Team (DMFHT) provides primary health care, including health promotion and disease prevention and chronic disease management. DMFHT comprises an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals who work in a collaborative model of care.

We are seeking a Registered Chiropractor, who is compassionate in engaging with patients, brings strong chiropractic expertise, and is a great team player who will work with other health professionals to develop long-term programs for our patients. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities (Clinical)

- Assessing the patient’s spine, posture and reflexes
- Developing customized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes
- Performing neuromusculoskeletal therapy by adjusting the spine and other joints
- Educating patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and clinical reports
- Arranging physician consultation or referrals for issues outside the chiropractor’s scope of practice
- Undertaking outreach services if needs arise
- Participating as a clinical team member in the development and delivery of targeted programs including but not limited to palliative care, cancer care, case management, chronic disease, mental health and addictions,



reproductive and child health

Responsibilities (Administrative)

- Collecting service data as required for statistical and reporting purposes
- Participating in team building, program development, and improvement activities.
- Participating in staff meetings, to exchange ideas, receive mutual support, monitor program outcomes, and present case studies
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications & Requirements

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the health care provider level, maintained throughout employment
- Immunization and health clearance in accordance with FHT policy
- Two professional references
- Ability to interpret clinical findings and develop effective treatment strategies
- Excellent clinical judgment and professional work ethic
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and be flexible in a very active work environment.
- Solid attendance and reliability

Employment Details

- Status: Part-time
- Start date: Early November – Exact Date TBD

Pay: $41.50 per hour
