WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS :

The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining and delivering the organization's cloud architecture strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. This role provides technical leadership for cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, platform engineering, network resiliency, and technology lifecycle management.

The Cloud Architect partners closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Operations, Application Development, and Business leaders to establish architecture standards, drive modernization initiatives, and enable reliable, secure, and efficient cloud services.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

•Define and maintain enterprise cloud architecture standards, roadmaps, and governance.

•Design secure, scalable, and resilient architectures across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.

•Lead architecture reviews and technology selection decisions.

•Develop cloud landing zones, guardrails, and reference architectures.

Transformation & Modernization

•Lead infrastructure and application modernization initiatives.

•Define migration strategies and target-state architectures.

•Drive adoption of cloud-native services, automation, and platform engineering practices.

•Build standardized cloud-based Development, Test, QA, and UAT environments.

•Implement automated environment provisioning and lifecycle management.

•Develop and execute an enterprise infrastructure refresh roadmap.

•Modernize aging compute, storage, networking, operating systems, and platform services.

Security & Governance

•Embed security-by-design and Zero Trust principles into all solutions.

•Ensure alignment with regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.

•Partner with Security teams on cloud governance, IAM, and risk management.





Network & Resiliency

•Design resilient connectivity between regional offices and cloud platforms.

•Improve network redundancy, SD-WAN capabilities, and cloud access performance.

•Enhance disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.

•Establish a formal version and lifecycle management framework.

•Drive upgrades of operating systems, databases, middleware, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

•Reduce technical debt and eliminate unsupported technologies.

Platform Engineering & Automation

- Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
- Implement reusable cloud services and automated provisioning.
- Support CI/CD, developer self-service, and operational automation initiatives.
- Deploy enterprise cloud landing zones with standardized security, IAM, monitoring, logging, and compliance controls.
- Establish policy-driven governance and automated compliance enforcement.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

•10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or enterprise architecture.

•5+ years designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.

•Deep expertise in Azure and AWS.

•Solid background in cloud networking, security, governance, and automation.

•Experience leading cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

•Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

•Preferred Certifications:

•AWS Solutions Architect Professional

•Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert

•CISSP or CCSP

•Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

•TOGAF
