VAC Developments Ltd is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company in Oakville. We are currently looking for experienced CNC Milling and CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. This is full-time, permanent opportunity.

We are Hiring for:

- Day Shift
- Afternoon Shift

Responsibilities:

- Set up, operate, monitor all types of CNC machinery required (3-5 axis CNC milling or lathe machines).
- Studies blueprints, work order, set-up sheet, tool lists, operation sheets, sketches, drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) ), and CAD models to accurately produce components.
- Verify tooling requirements are met in advance of commencement of each job; Bring up any issues/concerns to supervisor
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders as per set up sheets and/or work instructions.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, and input.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machine operation, or programming

Required Skills and Experience:

- More then 5 years of CNC Machining
- 5+ years’ experience setting up and operating all types of CNC machinery required
- Experience in Aerospace industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T; standards, and mechanical drawings for complex parts fabrication.




- Knowledge to select and use appropriate cutting tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specific tolerances and surface finishes as indicated on the drawings
- Work independently.
