As a member of our Land Development engineering team, you'll help shape communities across the country. You'll assist in designing efficient site plans and sustainable subdivisions tailored to each client's specific needs and will also assist in delivering essential infrastructure solutions for a wide range of communities. Using innovative solutions and up-to-date technologies, you'll help transform urban spaces into places that are more livable, resilient, and sustainable for future generations.

RVA is seeking a motivated Engineering Student to join our Land Development team to be based in either our Toronto, Barrie, Niagara, or Halton office. If you're ready to contribute to impactful projects and gain hands-on experience, we want to hear from you!

Duties

- Assist in the preparation of Functional Servicing Reports, Stormwater Management Reports, to support development applications.
- Perform sanitary, water, and stormwater servicing calculations, including coordination of water and sewer capacity analyses.
- Prepare and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including site servicing, grading, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control plans.




- Support project delivery through drawing revisions, project coordination, and communication with clients, review agencies, utility companies, and other consultants.
- Assist with the procurement and coordination of subconsultant investigations, including geotechnical and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in the preparation of tender documents.
- Conduct site reviews and provide construction-phase support.

Qualifications

- Must be currently enrolled in a civil engineering program at an accredited university.

Recent

Graduates will not be considered.

- Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a valid G Class Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is an asset.

Compensation Range The salary range for this position is: $25-$30/hour Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
