Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Van Upfitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming standard commercial vans into fully functional work vehicles tailored to customer specifications. Your expertise will help ensure each vehicle meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client needs.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of tools and materials, contributing to the success of our upfitting projects and supporting our mission to deliver top-tier vehicle customization.

Duties

- Install shelving, storage units, partitions, lighting, and other accessories inside commercial vans according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure components efficiently and safely
- Inspect vehicles before and after modifications to ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work orders to execute precise installations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the upfitting process
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship




- Document work performed on each vehicle for record-keeping and future reference

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle systems and modifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and other equipment safely
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate installations and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical diagrams effectively
- Good physical dexterity and stamina for working on vehicles for extended periods
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements
