Campaign

Ottawa advocates for a network of free, protected, clean, and accessible public toilets across the Ottawa region. We do research, presentations, lobbying, direct actions and collaborate with other community groups. GottaGo! seek volunteers with diverse backgrounds and supports students meeting education requirements such as placements, class projects or "volunteer hours". A great organization to join if you are interested in equity, justice, advocacy, community organizing, public health, city government, urban design, or simply want to ensure your local park, sports field, transit station, or shopping district has public washrooms you would want to use.

Role Description GottaGo! needs help with our social media, website, newsletters, blog, flyers, posters, presentations, and research papers. We are looking for MULTIPLE DIFFERENT people, who each do ONE or more of the tasks, for about 1-4 hours per week for at least 3 months, but preferably a year. We encourage our volunteers to develop projects that grab their interest.

Qualifications





We are seeking a TEAM, not a single person who can "do it all". Please apply if you have experience in ONE (or more) of the following:

- Writing - for any of: social media, presentations, website, blog, newsletter, research reports, press releases
- Copy-editing, proof-reading, or fact-checking
- Social Media Engagement - Currently active on social media and comfortable engaging with others, asking questions, responding to comment, and similar on any of: Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Bluesky, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit.
- Visual / graphic design - infographics, posters, logos, t-shirts, etc
- Interest in public health, accessibility, social justice, urban planning, or community advocacy

All work is remote, though we do some direct actions and community booths. We give preference to those who live in the Ottawa, Ontario region, including Gatineau, Quebec. We cannot help with visas.
