We’re passionate storytellers for our brands and we’re looking for someone who can help us make eye-popping, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping content, whether they’re moving, still, animated, CGI’d, AI’d or even hand drawn. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for a Content Creator who is comfortable behind the camera, on the edit, and anywhere in between. Someone who can take a creative idea and turn it into engaging social content, from a quick reactive video to a more polished campaign asset.

You’re plugged into culture, understand how people are consuming content across platforms, and have a strong eye for what makes something feel native to social. You’re a hands-on maker who can shoot, edit and create content independently, while collaborating closely with Content Managers, Strategists, Creatives and other members of the team.

SKILLS:

- Ability to conceptualize social-first content ideas across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Meta
- Connected to culture, trends and online conversations to help inform relevant content ideas
- Concept, shoot and edit engaging social content across video, photography and static formats




- Bring ideas to life from initial concept through production and final edit
- Create content for reactive workstreams, including quick-turnaround opportunities
- Contribute to always-on content calendars and campaign work
- Adapt larger campaign ideas into platform-native social content
- Understand how content should be tailored to different platforms, audiences and formats
- Ensure brand tone, voice and visual identity are reflected across content
- Adobe Suite proficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create relevant, resonant, impactful, objective-oriented content across multiple brands McCann services
- Shoot and edit social-first video and photography using both skilled equipment and mobile
- Manage multiple projects and priorities
- Turn existing brand and campaign assets into engaging social content, including clips, edits, GIFs, graphics and short-form video
- Create content assets built for individual platforms and audiences by working with a wide range of video and static imagery
- Participate in social shoots and support production from pre-production through to final delivery
- Collaborate with our production, creative, and strategy teams to create video, photography, social copy, gifs, clips, streaming stories, etc.
- Stay current on emerging formats, trends, creators and social behaviours and bring those insights into the work
- Ensure content is delivered on time and meets creative and technical requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 years of experience in an advertising/production/social agency setting
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms
- Experience in building social-first creative concepts
- Online portfolio with relevant work examples
- Strong decision-making skills and a collaborative spirit
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Experience working directly with clients




- Ability to adapt and manage multiple projects and priorities
- Full understanding of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Premier Pro and After Effects
- Experience working with or within an agency environment is an asset

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
