We are seeking a passionate and dedicated cook to join our vibrant food service team in a Seniors retirement community environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals that delight our residents. Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and creativity
- Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure quality
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food handling and preparation activities
- Assist in organizing kitchen stations, ensuring all equipment is clean, sanitized, and properly stored
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations




- Support meal preparation for special events or catering requests as needed

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of serving standards and customer service principles
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in various cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately
- Prior food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
