Lead core research operations at the University of Alberta in a hybrid environment. Drive financial planning and strategic leadership for seven facilities in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. As the Manager of Core Research Facilities, you report directly to the Vice-Dean, Research (Basic), and oversee the administration of advanced facilities.

This role demands expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and human resources. You’ll manage a budget of approximately $2 million while ensuring optimal use of resources to support faculty and researchers. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership in operational planning
- Oversee facility systems, stakeholder relationships, and compliance
- Manage financial planning, billing,



and procurement activities
- Support CFI application processes and engagement efforts
- Ensure health and safety compliance across facilities Requirements:
- MSc, PhD preferred, with a managerial background
- At least five years of relevant managerial experience
- Solid financial management and reporting skills
- Superior writing and communication abilities
