Job Overview

Inglewood Golf and Curling Club is a semi-private golf course and curling facility overlooking the Bow River. Inglewood is looking for a dynamic person to join our team as a curling ice technician for the 2026/2027 curling season for its 6-sheet curling facility. The season typically runs from the middle of October to the end of March with installation of the ice occurring in the 4 weeks prior to the start date and the removal of the ice occurring during the first couple weeks of April.

The responsibilities of the curling ice technician will be, but not limited to the following:

· Assist in the installation/removal and maintenance of the curling ice and facility

· Maintain exceptional curling ice conditions

· Ensure that equipment and facilities are kept in excellent working order

· Monitor ice plant and ice conditions

· Operate and maintain ice scraper, shaver and other equipment as needed to maintain quality curling ice

· Maintain personal and public safety around the workplace

· Snow removal on roads, in parking lot and around buildings

· Assist with golf course work such as snow removal on the greens, venting greens, course clean up, course accessory maintenance, etc.

· Ensure that facility and equipment are secure at the end of each workday

Qualifications:

· Level 1 and/or 2 Curling Ice Technician Certification (not required, but considered an asset)





· Ability to work at a fast pace, but safely on ice surfaces

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team

· Have a keen eye for detail

· Understanding of curling rules and etiquette (not required, but considered an asset)

· Positive attitude with a strong work ethic

· Ability to work flexible schedules

· Bondable The ice technician will report to the Superintendent/Head Ice Technician as well as the Assistant Head Ice Technician and Assistant Superintendents. This job requires working early in the mornings, evenings and weekends and shifts may vary depending on leagues, events and maintenance days. Year-round employment is possible for the right candidate as part of the ground’s maintenance team.

Golfing and curling privileges are extended to employees of Inglewood Golf & Curling Club as well as a competitive wage depending on experience.
