Linear Logistics is seeking a hands-on Customs Specialist to support our Canadian customs operations and compliance activities. This is an intermediate opportunity for someone with a solid technical foundation who is ready to grow into broader customs responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and coordinate customs documentation, shipment releases, and final accounting.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve documentation gaps, customs hold, and release exceptions.
- Support tariff classification, valuation, country-of-origin review, and free trade documentation.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, terminals, and customs partners to keep freight moving.
- Maintain accurate customs records, SOPs, and supporting documentation.
- Support corrections, audits, regulatory updates, and process improvements.
- Serve as Linear Logistics designated Qualified Officer and support applicable customs broker licensing and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications





- Successful completion of the CBSA Customs Brokers Skilled Examination and current eligibility to be appointed as a Qualified Officer.
- Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on Canadian customs brokerage, release, rating, compliance, or cross-border logistics experience.
- Working knowledge of CBSA requirements, customs documentation, tariff classification, valuation, and shipment release processes.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive shipments and competing priorities in a freight environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), CTCS, or CIFFA certification.
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, international trade, business, or logistics.
- Experience with CARM, customs brokerage systems, EDI, or cross-border transportation workflows.
