Role Description The Dairy Equipment Service & Installation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Grande Pointe, MB. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing dairy equipment, including milking systems, cooling systems, ventilation, feeding automation, and hygiene solutions. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues on farms, conducting system checks to ensure optimal performance, and completing service reports and documentation.

The technician will work closely with dairy producers, providing on-site support,



explaining equipment usage and best practices, and helping ensure equipment uptime and milk quality. The role also involves collaborating with the internal team to coordinate installations, parts ordering, and follow-up service visits, while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of dairy products and dairy farm operations, with an understanding of how equipment impacts milk quality and cow comfort.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships with producers.
- Experience or aptitude in quality control within a food & beverage or agricultural workplace, ensuring equipment and systems meet performance and hygiene standards.
- Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing aptitude, with the ability to read technical manuals, use diagnostic tools, and perform hands-on repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to farms within the region; ability to work in varying weather and barn conditions.
- Effective communication skills, including clear documentation of service work and the ability to explain technical information in practical terms.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and respond to service calls with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Previous experience in equipment installation, industrial maintenance, or agricultural service is an asset; relevant technical certification or trade training is beneficial.
