Position Information

- Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Purpose

The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and securing the company's databases, ensuring their stability, performance, and high availability, while implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation & Configuration: Install and update Database Management Systems (such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or MySQL) and prepare production and development environments.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor slow queries and optimize them, manage indexes, and improve resource utilization including CPU, Memory, and IOPS.
- Data Security & Protection: Manage access and authorization, user permissions, and encryption policies, while complying with security standards to prevent data breaches.
- Backup & Recovery: Develop and implement periodic backup plans, including Full, Differential,



and Log Backups, and conduct regular data recovery testing.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA & DR): Configure and manage high availability and replication technologies such as Clustering, Replication, Always On, and Data Guard.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Monitor database growth, clean temporary data, apply required patches, and perform essential system updates.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance continuously and respond promptly to alerts and incidents to minimize downtime.

Required Skills & Experience

- Practical Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in database administration within real-world working environments.
- Technologies: Strong experience with at least one of the major database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL), along with SQL/PL-SQL.
- Supporting Systems: Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows Server) and connectivity with storage systems (SAN/NAS).
- Professional Certifications (Preferred): Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure and during emergency situations.
