About the job

We're a family-owned luxury kitchen, bath and appliance showroom in Markham, in business since 1998. We're hiring one full-time driver to deliver high-end appliances, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures and tile to customers' homes across the GTA — often into finished homes with stone floors and tight staircases, with the homeowner watching.

This is not a parcel or courier route. Fewer stops, heavier and more valuable items, and every one has to arrive without a mark on it. If you take pride in doing it properly, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

- Drive our 11,000 kg straight truck (5-ton / 26 ft class) across the GTA
- Do a full pre-trip inspection every morning — engine oil, coolant, DEF, washer fluid, leaks, tires, lights — and a post-trip walk-around at the end of the day; keep the daily log
- Know the height of your truck and plan every route around low bridges and underpasses
- Load, wrap and secure every piece properly — blankets, straps, load bars — and check the box before you drive
- Move heavy items safely with a pump truck and appliance dolly, and call for a second person when a job needs one
- Place deliveries inside customers' homes, protect floors and walls, and collect signatures and payments
- Report any damage, incident or problem to the office immediately — the same hour, not the next day
- Remove packaging and debris from site

What we need

- Valid Ontario Class G licence (air brake / Z endorsement an asset)
- At least 2 years' recent experience driving a 5-ton / 26 ft straight truck — cargo van or pickup experience on its own isn't enough
- Clean driver's abstract,



and able to be listed as a driver on our commercial insurance policy
- Winter driving experience in a truck
- Able to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
- CSA-approved safety boots
- Full-time employee on payroll — not a contract or incorporated arrangement
- Reliable commute to Markham for an 8:30 am start
- Good English; courteous and presentable with customers

What we offer

- $25.00–$26.00 per hour, with a scheduled increase after probation
- Steady Monday–Friday daytime hours, no overnights
- A small team and one truck — you report directly to management, not a dispatch centre

Our hiring process

- Warehouse practical — loading, wrapping and securing a delivery
- Road test, including a full pre-trip inspection (bring your licence and wear safety boots)
- Offer conditional on a current driver's abstract, references, and acceptance by our insurer
