Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
- Apply topical fluoride treatments, sealants, and desensitizing agents as prescribed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Intra-oral scanning and picture taking for records and potential orthodontic treatment records
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases and conditions by providing relevant information to the dentist.




- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

Requirements

- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ontario.
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care.
- A patient-first mindset with a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Proficiency in using Tracker or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse patient populations is essential.
- Knowledge or experience in pediatrics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy dental office setting.
