We are looking for a Digital Design Technologist to join our Platforms R&D; organization. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in Canada, with a preference for candidates located in Ontario. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, manufacturing facilities, engineering teams and customers across Canada and the United States, with approximately 10–15% travel required.

The Digital Design Technologist develops and leads digital design and construction-technology solutions that connect BIM, prefabrication and manufacturing workflows. You will transform engineering and architectural concepts into manufacturing-ready outputs through automation, parametric modelling and data-driven tools, enabling greater efficiency, accuracy and scalability across Saint-Gobain’s businesses and innovation initiatives.

- Gather business and technical requirements and develop digital roadmaps supporting BIM, prefabrication and manufacturing workflows.
- Design, prototype, develop and deploy digital tools, configurators and automation solutions using BIM platforms, Dynamo, Python and related technologies.
- Create and manage BIM models, parametric assemblies, shop and fabrication drawings, bills of materials, cut lists and manufacturing-ready outputs aligned with LOD 300–400 standards.
- Lead digital development projects using Agile methods, coordinate stakeholders and drive the implementation of new solutions.
- Maintain digital assets, libraries and structured data while identifying continuous-improvement and innovation opportunities.
- Present recommendations to leadership, facilitate steering committees and influence decisions across business, engineering, manufacturing and technology teams.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities, engineering offices, project sites and customer locations across Canada and the United States, as required.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Science or a related discipline; a relevant master’s degree is an asset.
- 10–12 years of experience in BIM, digital design, construction technology, prefabrication, DfMA or related disciplines, including advanced use of Revit and AutoCAD.




- Experience creating manufacturing-ready outputs such as shop drawings, fabrication drawings, bills of materials, material take-offs and parametric models.
- Experience with automation tools and workflows such as Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper, Revit API, Excel or JSON.
- Strong knowledge of modular construction, panelization, light-gauge steel framing and BIM-to-manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital projects, define requirements, build roadmaps and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, including the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel approximately 10–15%.

Certain provinces require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay for this position ranges from 99 000$ to 126 000$ per year. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to education, experience, skills and qualifications as they relate to the role. Fully qualified and experienced candidates will typically align near the midpoint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus.

The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
