In a highly stable industry along with strong financial backing, the company is expanding its footprint across North America and seeking a high performing Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join as the Director, Financial Reporting & Compliance. This role is located in the financial district in downtown Toronto, a short walking distance from Union Station.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a progressive CPA who thrives in an evolving environment focused on process improvement enhanced use of systems, and AI automation. The ideal candidate will possess public accounting experience, ideally from a top-tier firm, and have strong expertise in IFRS standards. They will be eager to lead and develop a team, contribute to strategic initiatives, and embed best practices in financial reporting, controllership and compliance functions.

Key responsibilities and oversight include:

- Leading the company’s financial reporting, shared services and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to IFRS, and managing the external audit process.
- Overseeing controllership activities, including period-end closing procedures.
- Driving process improvements and system enhancements to support scalable growth.
- Supporting strategic initiatives with financial analysis and reporting.
- Managing a team of three direct reports, including managers and administrators.
- Partnering across departments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
