Job Overview
Provide leadership for the development, planning, implementation, and administration of organization wide initiatives encompassing all aspects of accounting services; health, safety and environment; human resources, asset management, and tech and innovation. Ensuring these services are proactively assisting in the monitoring/measuring of business activities, safety of all personnel and growth of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Management
> Help shape organizational strategy and translate assigned initiatives into measurable departmental plans and outcomes.
> Lead the Corporate Services annual business plan and operating budget, aligning resources with business priorities.
> Advise the President, Executive Leadership Team, and ownership on business opportunities, investments, resource needs, and operational impacts.
> Review financial and operational reporting, KPI's, and progress against business plans; provide recommendations to the President and senior management.
> Lead regular meetings with Corporate Services managers and collaborate with the VP of Operations and other leaders to coordinate priorities, and maintain accountability.
> Lead organizational change, continuous improvement, and business continuity initiatives across Corporate Services.
Technology, IT, & Innovation
> Assist and oversee the Manager of AI & Automation, aligning priorities with business needs and ensuring AI and automation initiatives integrate with IT systems, protect company data, and deliver measurable improvements.
> Oversee continuous improvement across Corporate Services to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
> Collaborate with departmental leaders to evaluate and implement new tools and processes.
Risk & Governance
> Provide management oversight of risk matters affecting Corporate Services, while working with the Risk Manager to review exposures, monitor agreed actions, and escalate significant concerns. The Risk Manager retains responsibility for risk assessment and management processes.
> Oversee departmental policies, internal controls, and compliance practices in coordination with the responsible managers.
Organizational Structure
> Lead and develop Corporate Services managers, establishing clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability.
> Model Acres’ values and standards of conduct, encouraging collaboration across departments and project teams.
> Lead workforce and succession planning with departmental leaders to develop future leaders and maintain continuity in critical roles.
Essential Qualifications
> Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a relevant professional designation or advanced degree, such as CPA, CPHR, PMP, or MBA, would be an asset.
> 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years at a senior management or director level with responsibility across multiple corporate functions.
> Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional corporate departments, such as: Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Administration, Risk/Compliance, and Marketing/Communications.
> Strategic leadership experience translating business goals into departmental plans, developing managers, and delivering measurable results across teams.
> Experience supporting technology initiatives and overseeing established business systems, with an understanding of ERP, automation, AI, data reporting, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable systems is an asset.
> Sound understanding of governance, risk oversight, internal controls, and corporate policies, including relevant BC employment, privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements.
> Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with experience advising executives or ownership, and collaborating across operational teams.

Pay: $160,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
