Job Summary

MUST LOVE DOGS! Tire Biter, Toronto's original doggie daycare is hiring. We are located in the Yorkville Area of downtown Toronto. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of dogs in our care while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with dogs and providing excellent care in a daycare setting. You are attentive to details and capable of handling physical tasks involved in caring for dogs throughout the day.

Dog handling skills are necessary!

Responsibilities

- Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime and rest periods to ensure a protected and positive environment
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
- Maintain clean and organized play areas
- Assist with light administrative tasks such as check-in/check-out procedures and record keeping
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or assisting with large dogs
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinarians
- Walk several dogs daily




- Ability to take clients home overnight with you when necessary several times a week

Requirements

- Prior experience working with animals or in a customer service role is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to interact with pet owners and team members
- Physical stamina is necessary for this position
- Passion for animals and a genuine desire to provide exceptional care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
- Ability to think quickly on your feet
- Team Player- reliable and punctual!
- High School Diploma or equivalent
