As a Kennel Attendant, you will ensure that every dog feels safe, happy, and well-cared-for during their stay, all while maintaining a clean and organized kennel area.

Duties

- Provide attentive care to dogs staying in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, bedding, and common areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
- Monitor dogs’ behavior and health, noting any signs of distress or illness and reporting concerns promptly
- Assist with daily exercise routines by walking dogs and engaging them in play activities to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
- Handle heavy lifting tasks such as moving kennels, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of each dog’s stay, including feeding schedules,



health observations, and special needs
- Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding their pets’ well-being and any updates during their stay

Requirements

- Passion for animals with a friendly, caring attitude towards pets and their owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling supplies or moving kennels
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors
- Willingness to work weekends consistently in a fast-paced workplace
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift
- Prior experience working with animals is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role
