TimberTown Building Centre Ltd. is currently seeking a Door Shop Technician

Door Shop Technician.

- 40 hr. work week with weekends off. (overtime when required)
- Two weeks vacation, increasing to three weeks in year three.

Job Responsibilities: The Door Shop Technician is responsible for the operation of a woodworking shop dedicated to the manufacturing of interior residential doors. Operating basic power and pneumatic tools as well as specialized mill working equipment, the technician will assemble basic interior and high-end custom interior doors. Maintaining strict quality control and attention to detail are essential, while ensuring a safe, clean and organized environment.

The candidate must be a team player and be able to quickly adapt & work effectively in a high-paced shop environment.

Duties:

- Safe and accurate operation of power and pneumatic tools

· Fabricate door parts according to specifications,



including millwork and custom measurements · Conduct quality control inspections

· Preform basic equipment maintenance and repairs

- Material handling wood doors and accessories
- Interpretation of written work orders
- General shop housekeeping

Qualifications: · Experience with basic wood working tools such as miter and table saws, routers, drills and air actuated equipment.

- Customer service oriented.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Able to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting up to 80lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Driven with the ability to take initiative.

Successful candidates will be experienced with woodworking equipment. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with employees, management, suppliers, and customers. Solid work references required (from last 2 employers) – mandatory
