Job Summary

As the electric vehicle industry grows, our college is seeking 1 experienced Electric Vehicle (EV) Repair Instructors. In this role, you will lead theoretical lectures and hands-on practical training covering EV systems, Tesla diagnosis, and high-voltage safety standards to help students build job-ready technical skills.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging classroom lessons on electric vehicle technology, safety standards, and repair procedures

- Conduct practical, hands-on training in EV diagnostics, maintenance, and repair using industry-standard tools and equipment

- Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with industry best practices

- Assess student progress through evaluations, demonstrations, and practical assessments

- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Stay current with evolving EV technologies and industry trends to ensure training content remains relevant

- Support students in developing both technical skills and professional competencies necessary for successful careers

- Deliver theory lectures and practical training for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV/PHEV).

- Instruct students on high-voltage safety protocols, Battery Management Systems (BMS), electric motors, and powertrain diagnostics.

- Assist in refining and updating the course curriculum to stay aligned with current automotive industry standards.

- Evaluate student performance,



conduct practical assessments, and provide constructive feedback.

- Maintain workshop safety, machinery, tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Requirements

- Proven experience in electric vehicle repair or related automotive fields with a strong understanding of EV systems

- Prior classroom experience or teaching background is highly desirable

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively

- Strong organizational skills to develop curriculum materials and manage training sessions

- Ability to motivate students and create an inclusive learning workplace

- Relevant certifications or licenses in automotive repair or EV technology are preferred

- Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in handling high-voltage electrical systems

- Work Experience: Minimum 3+ years of automotive repair experience, with at least 1–2 years focused on EV/Tesla platforms or high-voltage diagnostics.

- Technical Skills: Strong background in high-voltage safety, wiring schematics, advanced electronic diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting.

- Certifications: 310S Automotive Service Technician License or specialized EV/High-Voltage safety certification is preferred.

- Communication: Strong communication skills with a passion for teaching and mentoring. Previous instructional or supervisory experience is an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
