As part of our service delivery, Absolute Traffic & Sign Solutions Ltd. supplies professional on-site personnel, including Traffic Control Personnel and Temporary Workplace Signers, to help ensure worksite safety and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an Electronic Systems & Equipment Technician to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

- Assist with the design, installation, assembly, modification, testing and maintenance of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation
- Perform electrical wiring, termination, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, cable routing, and harness fabrication
- Assist with the design, development, assembly and testing of custom electronic product prototypes
- Perform field installations, configuration, testing, troubleshooting,



and maintenance of solar-powered equipment, charge controllers, batteries and related systems
- Perform testing, maintenance, installation, and repair of 12- or 24-volt mobile power systems
- Diagnose charging, battery, power-consumption, and low voltage issues
- Verify proper operation and charging performance of solar-powered systems before deployment
- Assist with installations of a complex and/or electronic nature on mobile/marine equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment and trailer assemblies
- Diagnose, repair, modify and maintain electrical and electronic equipment in both field and shop environments
- Respond to field service issues and determine appropriate repair or replacement requirements
- Perform operational life tests on trailer assemblies, document and assess performance results
- Support assessment of customer’s equipment for work orders and quotations
- Support and assist other technicians
- Support Sign Shop for field/installation work, including but not limited to buildings, vehicles, parking lots, and public parks
- Keep current with technical service news bulletins, new products, and industry-related training
- Follow safety standards in working with different services, tools, and equipment




- Represent the Company in a confidential and positive manner
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order, maintained, and inspected
- Receive, offload, and unpackage incoming materials and equipment
- Provide general support with yard/property organization

Qualifications:

- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Robust communication skills, and ability to follow instructions
- Related experience with electrical installations and electronic equipment
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Heavy Trailer Endorsement (Condition 15) is an asset
- Physically fit and accustomed to manual labor, including lifting up-to 55 lbs.
- Forklift operation certificate is an asset
- CSA approved steel-toed boots required

Education:

- Secondary School Diploma or GED Equivalent (minimum)
- Post-Secondary in a related discipline is preferred, such as:
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology;
- Computer Engineering Technology;
- Telecommunications Technology;
- Or an equivalent.
