Camptech II Circuits Inc. is a Canadian electronics manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in PCB fabrication and PCB assembly (PCBA). From our Markham facility, we support prototype, NPI, and production builds for customers across a range of high-tech industries.

We are looking for an Electronics Quality Technician with hands-on PCB/PCBA manufacturing experience to support our quality and production teams.

This position specifically requires previous experience working with printed circuit boards and/or electronic assemblies. Experience in general manufacturing quality, mechanical manufacturing, or other industries without PCB/PCBA exposure is not sufficient for this role.

Responsibilities

- Inspect printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for workmanship, solder quality, component placement, polarity, orientation, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Perform visual inspection of SMT and through-hole assemblies in accordance with applicable IPC workmanship standards.
- Perform manual soldering, touch-up, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies as required.
- Inspect solder joints, components, PCBs, and completed assemblies using microscopes and other inspection equipment.
- Operate and/or program inspection equipment such as AOI and X-ray systems, where applicable.
- Identify defects including solder bridges, insufficient solder, misaligned components, polarity errors, damaged components, and other PCBA workmanship issues.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, work instructions, engineering documentation, and customer specifications.
- Investigate quality issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions with production and engineering.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, rework, and corrective actions.




- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and other required documentation.
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection of electronic components, PCBs, and completed assemblies.
- Ensure assemblies meet applicable customer requirements, internal quality procedures, and industry standards.
- Work closely with production staff to identify recurring defects and improve PCB assembly quality and yield.

Qualifications

- Previous hands-on experience in PCB/PCBA manufacturing is required.
- Strong understanding of SMT and through-hole electronic assembly processes.
- Experience inspecting PCB assemblies for soldering and workmanship defects.
- Experience with manual soldering and electronic rework/repair.
- Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and electronic manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 is an asset.
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is an asset.
- Experience using microscopes, AOI, X-ray, or other PCBA inspection equipment is an asset.
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize workmanship defects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with production, engineering, and quality personnel.

Job Type: Full time Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
