Wage:

$37.00 per hour (36-38)

Overtime:

Paid after 44 hours per week in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, 2000.

Vacation:

2 weeks paid vacation annually or 4% vacation pay.

Education

Secondary school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in drywall installation, drywall finishing and repair.

- Experience restoring damaged drywall and matching existing finishes.

Work Environment The successful candidate will regularly work in occupied residential condominiums, apartment buildings, commercial offices and renovation sites throughout the GTA. The position requires travel between project sites.

Job Summary Element Renovation Inc. is seeking an experienced Drywall Installer,



Finisher & Repair Technician to perform drywall installation, repair, finishing and restoration services on residential and commercial renovation projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

The successful candidate will complete high-quality drywall finishing and repair work while maintaining a safe, clean and professional work environment.

Job Duties The successful candidate will:

- Measure, cut and install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings.
- Repair damaged drywall ranging from minor patchwork to complete wall and ceiling replacements.
- Tape joints and apply successive coats of joint compound.
- Sand finished surfaces to produce smooth, paint-ready finishes.
- Repair water-damaged drywall and ceilings.
- Match existing wall textures and restore textured or popcorn ceilings.
- Apply plaster and finishing compounds where required.
- Install drywall corner beads and finishing accessories.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare work surfaces by protecting floors, fixtures and surrounding finishes.
- Prime repaired areas and apply paint to achieve seamless colour matching.
- Operate drywall lifts, power tools and hand tools safely.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials.
- Maintain clean and organized work sites.
- Follow company safety procedures and OHSA requirements.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, property managers and clients.
- Complete assigned projects within established schedules.

Employment Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate

- Minimum two years of drywall installation and finishing experience.
- Ability to read measurements accurately.
- Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques.
- Experience using drywall finishing tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel between multiple project sites.

Pay: $36.00-$38.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
