Your responsibilities include analyzing project drawings, materials, and labour to ensure competitive bids while maintaining profitability. Strong communication with project managers and suppliers is essential to address any risks or challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Review project drawings and specifications thoroughly
- Develop detailed cost estimates for residential projects
- Execute exact material and labour take-offs
- Liaise with suppliers for pricing and material checks
- Identify risks and communicate with operations and leadership Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in roofing or cladding
- Familiarity with the Local 27 Residential Roofing agreement
- Solid understanding of roofing systems and building codes
- Proficient in estimating software tools and Microsoft Excel
