Pacific Building Components Ltd. is looking for an experienced Framer / Production Lead to join our prefabricated wall panel manufacturing team.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on framing experience who is confident taking the lead on the production floor. This position is ideal for an experienced framer who understands how walls should be built, can identify and correct issues before they become bigger problems, and can help ensure the production team is working safely, accurately, and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the crew while also providing day-to-day direction and using their experience to help keep production organized and on track.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead by example and work hands-on with the production team to assemble prefabricated wood wall panels.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, wall layouts, cut sheets, and specifications.
- Ensure wall panels are framed accurately and according to project requirements.
- Provide direction and guidance to less-experienced production employees.
- Review completed work and identify framing, measurement, layout, or quality issues before panels move to the next stage of production.
- Help organize daily workflow and ensure employees understand priorities and expectations.
- Monitor production progress and help keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule.
- Troubleshoot framing and production issues as they arise and determine practical solutions.
- Ensure proper framing practices, construction methods, and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Communicate issues, material requirements, production concerns,



and project progress to management.
- Help maintain an organized, productive, and safe work environment.
- Promote accountability and ensure work is completed correctly rather than allowing deficiencies to move through production.
- Assist with training and developing newer or less-experienced employees.
- Follow and reinforce company safety procedures and expectations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on wood framing experience required.
- Robust knowledge of residential and/or multi-family wood-frame construction.
- Previous experience in prefabricated wall panel manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
- Previous lead hand, foreman, supervisory, or crew-lead experience is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings, plans, measurements, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of wall layouts, openings, headers, framing components, and proper framing practices.
- Ability to identify mistakes and quality concerns and take appropriate steps to have them corrected.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable providing direction and holding others accountable for the quality and efficiency of their work.

What We Are Looking For: This is not an entry-level framing position. We are looking for someone who can bring meaningful construction experience to the team and who is comfortable taking ownership on the production floor.

The right person will be able to look at a wall or drawing and recognize when something isn't right, help determine how to fix it, and ensure the crew understands what needs to be done. We want someone who can help create consistency and accountability within production while still being willing to work alongside the team and get the job done.
