Metro Testing & Engineering is hiring an Experienced Materials Testing Technician to base out of our Kamloops office. Our field technicians provide testing services at our clients' sites, and to foster long term relationships with them.
This is a full time position and the person will work between 40-80 hours/ week.
What our Field-Testing Technicians do:
- Travelling to multiple jobsites during their shifts to preform concrete and/or soils testing
- Preform field testing to verify materials are compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Reports test results to site personnel to support timely decision-making
- Maintain accurate records, calculations, and prepare daily quality reports
- Build relationship with the site personnel
What you need to have:
- CCiL or ACI certifed in concrete testing
- Experienced with using nuclear densometer for soils testing
- Available between Monday to Sunday
- Good command of the English language
- Canadian Driver’s License
- Physically fit – able to lift 23kg/50lbs
- Available for day/evening/over night shifts between Monday to Sunday,
- Customer service experience or attitude
What you will get
- Depending on your experience, starting wage will be between $27-30/hr
