Lead Toddler Educator

Location: Pebble Lane Early Learning, South Surrey, BC

Pebble Lane Early Learning is looking for an experienced Lead Toddler Educator to guide our toddler classroom at our South Surrey centre. We’re looking for someone who connects warmly with children, brings thoughtful ideas to the program, and enjoys helping a team work well together.

As the lead educator, you’ll set the tone for a welcoming, engaging room where toddlers feel secure to explore, build relationships, and grow more independent.

What you’ll do

- Plan and lead play-based experiences that reflect the children’s interests and developmental needs.
- Create a calm, predictable daily rhythm, including welcoming children, meals, outdoor play, rest, and transitions.
- Guide and support the educators in your classroom, sharing responsibilities and communicating clearly.
- Build trusting relationships with families and keep them informed about their child’s day and development.
- Adapt activities and routines to support each child’s abilities and needs.
- Maintain accurate classroom documentation and follow BC child care licensing requirements and Pebble Lane’s health and safety practices.




- Work closely with the centre manager to keep the toddler program running smoothly.

What you bring

- An Infant/Toddler Educator certification recognized in BC.
- Experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting.
- Confidence leading a classroom and supporting fellow educators.
- A warm, respectful approach to guiding children and communicating with families.
- Strong organization, sound judgment, and a willingness to be hands-on throughout the day.
- Current first aid certification and a satisfactory criminal record check, or the ability to obtain them before starting.
