The Halifax Grammar School (Grammar) is seeking experienced, motivated and qualified individuals to apply for a full-time position as Facilities Attendant/Cleaner. This position reports to the Facilities Manager as an important part of the team that maintains our buildings and grounds.

The Facilities Attendants/Cleaners will be responsible for helping keep our school clean, safe, and ready for students and visitors. Their duties will include cleaning the school, maintaining the grounds, completing basic repairs, and moving furniture for events.

- Be able to stand for long periods of time, move heavy furniture, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Know how to use cleaning supplies and chemicals safely.
- Be polite and helpful when talking to our staff and the public.
- Be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Have worked in cleaning or janitorial roles for 1 to 3 years.
- Can use a computer for basic tasks, such as checking your email, receiving job orders or entering your work hours.




- Previous experience working in an office building or a school would be considered an asset.
