Reporting to the Production Foreman, the Field Lead Operator is primarily responsible for front line leadership focusing on safely executing production opportunities, while ensuring a high level of project readiness.

Managing day-to-day operations while interfacing with Safety, Integrity, Environmental and various Engineering disciplines is both rewarding and challenging. Looking for your direction to actively promote a facts and data decision-making culture.

This role requires minimum 80% of the time to be on site with the balance of time in the office.

- Job location: Progress Gas Plant, Ksituan and Spring Lake fields
- The successful applicant will be expected to live in the Grande Prairie, Spirit River or Dawson Creek area

- Shift schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off - 10 hours per shift
- Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide daily mentorship to team members with a clear display towards operational, technical, financial and safety excellence, as well as environmental responsibility
- Provide hands-on competency SOCT training to team members
- Assist with monitoring production volumes, working closely with a cross-functional team to maintain runtime performance > 97%




- Utilize Continuous Improvement techniques and processes to support the areas’ safety, production, financial and environmental targets
- Assist with monitoring compressor, facility, battery, and plant throughput relative to capability and initiate actions to optimize, correct deficiencies, and resolve operational problems
- Provide local scheduling and supervision of projects as directed by the Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, or Assistant Foreman

What You Bring to the Role:

- High school diploma/GED required
- 10+ years of oil & gas industry experience
- GPO (Gas Plant Operator A-D) and/or PFO (Production Field Operations A-D) or a Journeyperson certificate or a Technology diploma
- Power Engineering and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification will be considered an asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven safety track record with consecutive years of solid performance
- Familiarity with and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and training & teaching best practices
