Brantford Blooms Florist is looking for a talented and creative Floral Designer to join our passionate and growing team. This role is ideal for someone with an eye for design, a love of flowers, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Position Summary:

As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful, custom floral arrangements for a variety of occasions including everyday orders, events, weddings, and sympathy work. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality floral designs that reflect our shop’s style and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and produce floral arrangements to meet daily orders and client specifications
- Create floral pieces for special events, weddings, and funerals
- Maintain flower quality through proper care and handling
- Manage prep work, including processing flowers and organizing materials




- Assist with merchandising and maintaining the visual appeal of the shop
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of orders
- Communicate professionally with customers as needed for custom designs

Qualifications:

- Previous floral design experience required (retail or event-based preferred)
- Solid understanding of color theory, composition, and floral mechanics
- Ability to design quickly, creatively, and with consistency
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Friendly, team-oriented, and customer-focused
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift flower buckets/boxes as needed

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience

- Floral Design: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Floral design certification (required)
