Vancouver Golf Club is looking for enthusiastic Food Runners / Bussers to join our Food & Beverage team.

Position Overview

- Position: Food Runner / Busser
- Department: Food & Beverage
- Employment: Full-time & Part-time positions available
- Availability: For full-time positions, successful candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 days per week, including 2 weekend shifts
- Location: Vancouver Golf Club – 771 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam, BC
- Schedule: Combination of weekday, weekend, holiday, and event shifts
- Starting Wage: $18.25 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing As a Food Runner / Busser, you will play an important role in supporting our servers, kitchen, and bar teams while ensuring Members and guests receive a seamless dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include

- Delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately to members and guests.
- Assisting servers with clearing, resetting, and maintaining dining tables.
- Ensuring dining areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
- Supporting banquet and special events, including weddings, corporate functions, and member events.
- Communicating effectively with servers, kitchen, bar, and other team members.
- Assisting with stocking, polishing glassware and cutlery, and maintaining service areas.
- Responding promptly to Member and guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and Club policies and procedures.

Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for team members who are:

- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team players with a positive attitude.
- Able to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods.
- Professional and comfortable interacting with members and guests.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift or carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required.

Flexible Availability is Essential Due to the seasonal nature of our business, Food & Beverage team members must be available to work a flexible schedule during our peak golf season April through October, as well as during our busiest banquet month of December.

Availability will include a combination of weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak event periods.

Reliable transportation to and from the Club is required.

Required Qualifications

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or cashiering experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling protocols diligently.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- A team-oriented mindset with good cleaning habits to maintain a tidy workspace and dining area.
- Reliable attendance and transportation.
- Ability to work a adaptable schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Food Safe certification is an asset.
